What Is Hypnotherapy
A Natural, Powerful Process for Deep Transformation
Your mind operates on two levels:
Your conscious mind is your awareness, the part of you that's reading these words right now. It's responsible for decision-making, analysing, logical thinking, and about 5% of your daily functioning.
Your unconscious mind is where the real work happens. It controls about 95% of everything. It runs in the background, holding every experience you've ever had, every pattern you've learnt, every belief you've formed, often before you were old enough to choose them consciously.
Think of your unconscious mind as the operating system running beneath the surface. It's responsible for:
- Your automatic responses and reactions
- How your organs and body functions
- Your habits and behaviours
- Your beliefs about yourself, others and the world
- Your emotional patterns
- Your nervous system responses
- The stories you tell yourself about who you are and what's possible
Many of these patterns were created to protect you at some point in your life. Your unconscious mind learnt what kept you safe, what helped you belong and what allowed you to navigate your environment. The challenge is that these patterns often outlive their usefulness. What protected you as a child might be limiting you as an adult. What helped you survive before, might be preventing you from thriving now.
How It Works.
Hypnotherapy creates a bridge between your conscious awareness and your unconscious mind. In your everyday state, your conscious mind acts as a filter by analysing and judging your experiences, deciding what's safe and unsafe, while reporting back to the unconscious. This is where resistance to change shows up if there is a lot of fear learnt behaviours sitting within your unconsious, even when you consciously want something to shift. This is why you can know something needs to change but still find yourself repeating the same patterns.
During hypnotherapy, you enter a deeply relaxed state where your conscious mind becomes quiet and your unconscious mind becomes more receptive. This is a completely natural state that you experience daily when you're absorbed in a book, driving on autopilot, in meditation or in that space just before falling asleep.

We work collaboratively together. I'm guiding the process, but your inner wisdom is leading the way. Your unconscious knows exactly what you need, what's ready to shift and what timing serves you best. My role is to create the safe space, ask the right questions and provide the framework for your mind and body to do its natural healing and reprogramming work.

Online sessions allow you to experience the work from the convenience and comfort of your own space, while in-person offers that face-to-face connection.
